Viking Trio
Like IKEA, we have some screws loose, but people can’t resist having a ball when they come and see us!
Who?
There once was a viking who decided to hang up his axes and to take up some more peace loving activities instead of invading and pillaging villages. He moved from Stockholm to Belgium to see if he could regale the local populace with his music. David Demuynck (he changed his last name from Ragnarok to blend in more) enlisted the help of a Kelt on double Bass, Rob Vanspauwen and a Roman on drums, David La Mela. Together the Viking Trio was born!
Beautiful Compositions
A Viking is a composer and a composer is a Viking. Handcrafted details carved into the music that will melt your heart and at the same time, hardened for battle! I mean concerts, yeah, concerts!
What? How?
Viking Trio plays compositions by David Demuynck. He gets his inspiration not only from Sweden, but from all over the world. His music has often been described as having a cinematic quality. The combination of Fender Rhodes with effects and synthesizers give a nice and fresh combination and together with the perfect pitch and time of Rob Vanspauwen and the rock solid grooves and colours of David La Mela, we get beautiful music and improvisations.
A Viking needs his village!
Like Thor’s Hammer, sometimes we need an infusion of electricity! You are that lightning power!
We get a kick and sometimes, if we let David do the wiring, a literal jolt of energy when we have an enthusiastic crowd!
Drop us a hammer!
(This means "Please contact us..." The music is great, the humor is a little hit and miss)
